Our Story

Cherry Creek Estate was constructed in the late 1990's as a private dwelling. The original owners bought the land and built all existing structures on it.  The first construction was the Buggy Barn, a Bavarian style barn built with wood treed right from this property by skilled European craftsman.  It was built to house the owners’ horse buggies and tack with a two bedroom apartment on the north end for a ranch hand.  Many additional barn structures around the property were also built during this time, including our largest reception space the Rocky Mountain Hall.

Next up was the crown jewel of the property, Creekside Villa.  The 13,000 square foot European inspired mansion featuring 5 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a billiards room and tons of space to relax in.  The mansion was completed in 1998 and for nearly 15 years, it served as a private, luxurious home for it's original owners.

In 2013 the Estate was purchased by the Hockley/McInnes family and converted into a wedding & event venue. It is currently owned & operated by three couples Dennis & Aldie Hockley, Joe & Darla Hockley and Jody & Amy McInnes.  After taking possession in September 2013, the family hurriedly worked to host the first Cherry Creek Estate wedding, a family affair that took place at the end of October.

You can usually find one or many of the owners onsite tending to the hay fields, the cattle or the chickens.  With a passion for farming and a dedication to providing all guests with an experience of the highest quality, you will never catch one of them without a smile on their face and a tool in their hand. The owners and their staff aim to ensure that each client has an unforgettable experience on the property. They want every guest to feel valued, refreshed, encouraged and looking forward to returning to the estate for another visit.

The Estate also operates as a working ranch and hay farm and is home to a large herd of cattle, two goats, four horses, many chickens, two barn cats and a friendly dog named Jerry.
